The Nabunturan Independent Film Exhibition (NABIFILMEX) 3, the only open air film festival in the Philippines, is calling for submissions of short films and documentaries which best communicate and express local stories, culture, icons, pride of place and sense of nationhood.
All genres are welcome as long as the films are completed within October 2014 to August 2015 and have not been screened in the previous NABIFILMEX.
Entries shall vie for the GIMADYAWAN AWARD FOR BEST FILM to win Php 10,000.00 and the NCCA Sulyap kultura Award with a cash prize of another Php 10,000.00.
Special Sections
STUDENT SECTION
Open to all Filipino students currently enrolled in any public or private school within Region 11 with endorsement from their school duly signed by the Principal or School Head. The Best Film in this section shall receive a cash prize of Php 3,000.00.
DEPED COMPOSTELA VALLEY SECTION
Exclusive for the teachers of DepEd Compostela Valley Province who joined the Sine Indie Film Workshop last April 2015. The Best Film in this section shall receive a cash prize of Php 3,000.00.
Note: Entries to the Student and DepEd Comval special sections shall automatically compete in the Open Category for a chance to win the Gimadyawan Award and/or the NCCA Sulyap Cultura Award.
FOREIGN SECTION
Open to all filmmakers of any nationality who wants to showcase their films to the Filipino audience. This is a non-competing section and for exhibition only. For online submission visit: http://bit.ly/Nabi3onlineRegForm
