Davao Eagle’s Music Artist of the Year, Kaye Cal, is among the interpreters chosen in this year’s Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs Songwriting Competition.
Composed by Dabawenyo, Aries Sales, Nyebe is a beautiful love song produced and arranged by Marvin Querido with the help of Ardie de Guzman for guitar parts, Junjun Perez for the bass, Junjun Regalado for the tight and dynamic drums, Angelo Rozul for mixing, Yosha Honasan for making and coaching, Kaye for the backup vocals and Rox Santos for producing the main vocals.

Himig Handog is a songwriting competition that produced OPM hits such as Kung Ako Na Lang Sana, Hanggang, Kailan Kita Mamahalin, Anong Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa, and Mahal Ko O Mahal Ako.
Finals night will be held on April 24 at the Kia Theater hosted by Robi Domingo, Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano and Kathryn Bernardo.
Davao’s very own KZ Tandingan who interpreted the song “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako,” composed by Edwin Marollano, who won last year’s competition, will perform the entry “Laban Pa” with Jay-R.
