Cagayan de Oro- Davao City Mayor, Rodrigo Duterte won the votes of the Filipino netizens on the recently concluded first Presidential Debate held at Cagayan de Oro last February 21, 2016.

Duterte has been the top choice of the viewers who were actively sharing their thoughts on social media. He created a huge gap among his fellow candidates.

“Duterte’s emphasis on a corruption-free, crime-free Philippines got him the nod of netizens, who said the tough-talking mayor had the best closing statement in the debate.” says Rappler.

He also got the attention of the people when he rebutted on Roxas’ “Daang Matuwid” saying “Wala man akong nakitang Tuwid na Daan puro Kulubot man yon.”

On his final remark, he reiterated his three to six months promise to clean up criminality in the country.

He was followed by the DILG Sec. Roxas. Next was Sen. Santiago who also appeared to be a good choice to the people. 4th was Sen. Poe who came out well-equipped and at the bottom was Vice-President Binay.
