“The National Nutrition Council XI shall conduct a Recipe Development Contest for two categories. First category is for the development of recipe book designed to develop low-cost, easy to prepare, and nutritious vegetable dishes in connection with the celebration of Nutrition Month this year with the theme “Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw Itong Ihain!”. The winning recipes will be compiled into a recipe book that will be printed for distribution to beneficiaries of the government’s Pantawid Pamilya or the Conditional Cash Transfer program administered by the DSWD as a way for NNC to contribute to improve nutrition of poorest families.
The second category will showcase International Cuisines (e.g. Asian Fusion, American, European, Mexican, Arabian, Greek, Spanish/Latin, Italian, Chinese Cuisines, among others) wherein local products from Davao Region can be integrated in the recipe (e.g. durian, pomelo, etc.). The judging will also include the total package of the presentation of the said recipes and table setting according to a chosen type of cuisine.
On the other hand, a Nutri-Media Conference will also be conducted between 11:00AM to 1:00PM on the said date and venue to invite partners from the tri-media and discuss highlights about nutrition updates and activities relative to Nutrition Month Theme.
